Sales Manager – Polymers - South East UK

Client Overview:

Role Overview:

· Ensure area sales targets are achieved, maintain profitable growth and develop sales, in line with annual budgets and long-term strategies (5 year plan).
· Ensure a high level of customer contact on a regular basis, maintain existing business and report on new business opportunities, customer satisfaction, market information and competition activity.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for sales development, in the designated area, ensuring annual sales budgets are achieved.
· Promote all aspects of the portfolio, to all plastic processors, in the sales area and ensure new products and product lines are introduced where applicable.
· Visit existing and new customers on a regular basis and provide information and support as necessary.
· Manage and deploy the most efficient and appropriate level of customer contact, with close liaison with the Sales Office, in order to ensure that sales opportunities are maximized to the full.
· Offer technical advice according to ability and experience and liaise with Business Development Engineers (BDE) and Strategic Account Managers (SAM) as appropriate.
· Prepare area sales statistics for budget preparation each year.


Candidate Profile:

· Sales Professional, with knowledge of plastic, rubber or related materials.
· Knowledge of engineering plastics, such as Polyamides, would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of working for a distributor.
· Based within the area to be covered.
· Demonstratable product sales experience and a highly motivated achiever.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels, as well as good organisational and time management skills.
· Computer literate with knowledge of current operating systems and software.
